homepage experiments

This was the first mini animation I tried out for my opening page. I didn't use it because i didn't want to introduce my final typeface too soon.

I decided to do a hand drawn animation so that it fits with the title of 'hand and screen'

animating my process

From doing a lot of animations i thought about using the same method to show my process through the pictures. That way i can write less and the page isn't overloaded too much. This will keep the theme of simplicity. Also a lot of white space between images, text..etc, makes the site more presentable and clean.

LESS IS MORE

I plan to keep the design and layout of the website simple and organized. A website called Seadesign.co.uk shows very good use of simplicity and how effective it can be.

As well as their design style being simple the website also uses this theme of simplicity which work very well.
I feel a website is a good way to keep information well organized and presented. Its also is easy to navigate.

Navigation is something i need to consider. I need to organize the work so that it is easy to find. Also not overloading the site with unnecessary information so that its kept simple.

Website for presentation

For this presentation i've decided to record the development of my website on a blog where as all the workshop work, development and final outcomes will be place on the website.

I decided to do a website because it is simple to do and out of all the software I learned about in the 3rd workshop I found dreamweaver the easiest to adapt to.

workshop 3

In this workshop I learned how to use dreamweaver and experimented with putting together a website.

I managed to create links, insert images and video files and change the appearance colour... etc
